The 2027 NMRA National Convention, “Puget Sound Express 2027,” will be held in Tacoma, Washington, from 10 to 15 August 2027, bringing together model railroad enthusiasts from across North America and around the world. Hosted by the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA), the convention’s theme, “Expand Your Horizon,” highlights a week of educational clinics, operating sessions, layout tours, prototype excursions, keynote presentations, contests, and opportunities to connect with fellow hobbyists. The event will conclude with the National Train Show on 14 and 15 August at the Tacoma Convention Center, featuring hundreds of vendor exhibits, product demonstrations, and model railway displays for both dedicated modellers and the general public.
